I feel obliged to update on what has happened since I last wrote on purplepoogle...

I have NOT been cured of my Neopets obsession. Its not as horrible as before, whereby wherever I was, I *had* to be home by 9pm just to visit the Snowager...
I guess my colleague systemworks starting to get uninterested in the game has helped me. We challenge each other in neopets, and we can talk about neopets for quite a fair bit! Thing is, he has the patience to try and make neopoints through restocking Altadorian petpets, and I don't. I'm afraid he's going to catch up to my bank account!

Since I last wrote, here are my neopian achievements:
+ now have 6.85million neopoints in my name

+ completed a World Challenge map and got a White paintbrush and 2000 NP. I am now all for World challenges! I used to do 2 types of WCs - Trouble @ National Neopian and Defender Trainer but now I only do Defender Trainer. National Neopian is getting too difficult!

+ completed Neoquest and gotten a bronze trophy. Yup, no longer need to rely on Pyramids for random events, haha! I'm now in the midst of getting the silver trophy, I'm at level 44 now I think. *blur* When I'm online, I deactivate Javascript to do other stuff though, so that's why I'm not playing as intensely as before. After this, I'll play Nq2 because systemworks says that its awesome, much better than NQ.

+ gotten a bronze trophy in Defender Trainer. I'm quite good at it now! =) Of course there's always room for improvement...

+ gotten a Shenkuu trophy (3rd place) for Altador cup. Gosh, if I knew they were giving away Darigan paintbrushes, I would've played a million times more Slushie Slinger!

+ Did a few half-hearted battledome stuff. I've trained SuperLeech up quite a fair bit too... of course, still not as great as she could be...

Aside from trophies and such, I do aim to train SuperLeech a bit more to take part in the next site events that are coming up.

Who else loves the latest games from Neopets? The Search for Princess Lunara is easy neopoints, and so is Mop N Bop! =)

4 million!

I have gotten 4 million neopoints. :P Basically I got 1million np within a month, and now I'm feeling really guilty over the amount of TIME I've spent on the game. Hence I haven't blogged much, although I still play Neopets. I try to curb myself though. I can get about 15K on games within an hour... so there's really no rush. Here's to the next million. ;)

Day 2 : An Elaboration

Ok my second day playing here. I guess I should elaborate more about Neopets. Well, I think that it's really creative and addictive. I've even started reading the Neopets-related communities on LJ! Meanwhile, I found out that my friend TCL still plays Neopets religiously (well, his last sign on was just yesterday!) so I sent him a Neomail. I don't know why but we lost contact with each other. I hope he's not avoiding me...

And I found yet another friend in Neopia - haha. It's Eugene! So hard to believe that a "macho" guy like him wants to go back to neopetting. I guess working the night shift can be lonely, and it's nice to have a game to play while you're waiting for the phone to ring. :P Anyway, he's a crappy player la... he asked me for 10,000 Nps to get started. Desperate as I am to have a Neopian pal, I gave it to him (it didn't even make a dent on my account...). That was two days ago. Yesterday he wanted to train his pet and was looking for codestones. Crapppp... he asked me for one. I asked him to use the 10K to buy a codestone instead of asking me for one... I forgot his excuse. But anyway I wanna train my pet this year too, so I really do NOT want to give him my codestones! :P

Well, I really want more neofriends though, so that we can squeal over similar stuff together. Been reading Neopian Adults religiously and I'm real tempted to join. Some of these people are even more obsessed than I am, they spend actual $$ on "TCG codes" to get rarer items... foooh. I also don't know if I would ever consider doing that, if I lived overseas. ;)

Day 1 : A Beginning

Okay, I finally decided to knuckle down and set up a blogspot for my neopets addiction, so that people on my main site don't get fed up with my squee-ing over Neopets. This is purely for my own reference, not unlike my fitness blog. Like the fitness blog, it's for my own reference but those of the same interest may read & comment of course! ;)

I've been playing Neopets since I was in college, and seeing my mates play this "childish" game (which incidentally, was designed for bored college students!). Somehow or other, I got hooked to it. I've neglected my pets pretty much and have only restarted recently because I saw my brother playing Freaky Factory and it motivated me to do well. :P Currently I have two pets, a purple poogle and a blue flotsam. The purple poogle is the main pet, hence the name of the site. I rather play games than work on my pet stats, so they're kinda low, but I hope to change that this year!
